THE WOLF PACKS
The way the wolf packs work is like this;;
There is the ALPHA position, which means that that wolf is the leader of the pack.
There is the position of LEGATE, which means that wlf is second in command of the pack.
There is a position of PHYSICIAN, which means that wolf deals in natural medicine for the pack. Usually this wolf will have a PHYSICIAN APPRENTICE, to take their place when they leave the position
Then there are WARRIORS, which are trained in battle arts to defend the pack. They become a warrior at 12 months old, after completing a hard task given to them by the alpha.
There are APPRENTICES, whom are trained to become warriors. They become apprentices at 3 months old.
Then there are PUPS which are simply too young to become anything until the age of 3 months.
THE CEREMONIES
The ceremony of an alpha consists of, of course, being a legate first and then going to pond with the whole pack. The legate must hold their breath for three minutes under the water, and when he/she surfaces they must howl a song of mourning and of victory all night long into the morning with the pack.
The ceremony of a legate is not a big to do. The alpha must place their nose on the new legate's right thigh and bless that wolf with their new title, and commend them. A curt lick on both sides of the face is required as well.
When an apprentice successfully accomplishes their task, if he/she does at all, then that apprentices receives a formal warrior ceremony and then is sprinkled with white rice. One elk must be held down by the pack, and the new warrior must kill that elk. A grand feast and celebration must be held that night.
When an apprentice receives his/her warrior task by the alpha, cinnamon is sprinkled on them from above on the Ledge of the Alpha. It is a form of anointing. Then the apprentice must be off to complete the task, and not return until he/she does.
When a pup receives his/her apprentice ceremony they are prinkled with water, as a symbol of being cleansed of babyhood.
